Specifically, she researched and published in the subject areas like studies on natural compounds for treatment of Cancer, siRNA based drug therapy for cancer, chemotherapy with targeted drug delivery through nano-conjugated vehicles, receptor targeted drug delivery (Folate receptors) aimed at the efficient delivery of anti-cancer drugs and emerging role of FOXA-2 in hepatic differentiation from mesenchymal stem cells, to facilitate the development of hepatocytes for liver engineering and regenerative medicine.

More recently, he obtained the Master of Science (Level I) in Clinical Research and the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor (procedure for the Italian University Professor recruiting, based on rigorous criteria of scientific qualification).

He is passionate about the practice of traditional medicine and goes all out to support every move in this direction. Mr. Turkson holds a Bachelor of Science in Herbal Medicine and Master of Philosophy in Pharmacognosy both degrees from the KNUST, Kumasi. He had his basic and secondary education in Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana. He is currently a Ph.D. student at KNUST. As a Medical Herbalist, he was the head of the herbal medicine unit at the Tafo Government Hospital. He was a lecturer at the College of Integrated Health, Obuasi in the Ashanti Region. He is a part-time lecturer at the Department of Herbal Medicine, KNUST.
