Biography: Monika Michalak graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Division of Laboratory Medicine at the Medical University of Silesia and completed postgraduate studies in Herbal, Cosmetics and Functional Foods Commodity. She is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cosmetology in the Institute of Medical Sciences at the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. Her research focuses on ingredients of plant origin, in particular, plant extracts, plant oils, and essential oils, as well as their pharmacological properties.
